Trevor Gene Thompson, a minor, filed a petition in the Circuit Court of Dunklin County, Missouri, for the wrongful death of his mother. The trial court dismissed the petition for wrongful death, finding the statute of limitations had expired and the claim was barred. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, transferred the cause to the Missouri Supreme Court for resolution. We affirm the trial courts dismissal of the cause of action.
